"Here are some of the reasons why I am very happy with Ivan and
his work. • Ivan works with high quality materials, methods and
subcontractors. Where I have seen other contractors cut corners, Ivan
built everything to last for a long time. All of this came at a fair
price. • Ivan met his schedule commitments. • Ivan came up with creative
solutions to difficult problems. In any remodel, there are always
unexpected problems that come up. We had several where things didn’t
quite fit right or we came up against permitting issues. When he came
across them, he took the time to explain the difficulties to me, debate
possible solutions, and ultimately agree on a plan that met the overall
objectives of the work without impacting budget or schedule. We used a
natural stone tile in all of our bathrooms and Ivan fretted over whether
or not different boxes of tile matched closely enough. (I often couldn’t
tell the difference, but I can now.) At one point he drove back to the
tile shop and made them open each box until he found the right match.
The end result was stunning. The tile work is immaculate and I get
nothing but compliments on it. I highly recommend Martinovsky
Construction, and I have done so with several friends and co-workers."
